Exodus Scholarship Fund 

PURPOSE

For centuries, artists have breathed life into American cities, turning run-down neighborhoods into cultural capitals. Yet the gratitute for their labor doesn't compare. In fact, as soon as the hood becomes vibrant, the people who made it that way get priced out. And all across America, the script never changes

This displacement is not an accident. It is a recurring cycle happening everywhere from New York and Seattle to Austin, San Francisco, and Chicago. Wages have flatlined since 1973 while rents, mortgages, utilities, gas, and grocery prices skyrocket. Meanwhile, millions of homes sit empty because America does not have a housing shortage. America has a crisis of empathy.

If that isn't enough, visual artists, musicians, artisans, and other creators now face a brand new struggle. Artificial intelligence companies weaponize bots to launch billions of scraping requests to plunder creative work without permission or compensation, threatening the very livelihoods of the people who make culture possible. Additionally, veterans who sacrificed and retirees who gave their entire youth to companies also find themselves in a similar quandry where their service is not rewarded as they struggle to survive. After you've given your all, and it's still not enough, it's time to rethink your strategy. No one has to remain in systems that will not meet their basic needs. Everyone has a right to live with dignity.  Survival requires a massive exodus. You do not have to leave forever, but you do have to protect your peace. But once you leave, you might discover that the American Dream can survive on foreign soil.

We're building the solution from the ground up but differently than its been done before. True grassroots power does not wait for massive institutions or slow bureaucracies to catch up. WHAT THE EXODUS SCHOLARSHIP COVERS

We remove the friction of moving so our people can focus on arriving safely. The fund covers critical startup expenses including passport fees, immigration visas, and initial apartment deposits.
